WWII German M35, M40 64/56 Helmet Liner (1940)
This is an original WWII German M1931 helmet liner system. The leather liner is a size 56; to be paired with a size 64 helmet shell. Its zinc band showcases a 1940 production stamp by B. & C. Berlin. The chinstrap bails are the earlier squared aluminium type, which were discontinued that same year. The drawstring is missing and the leather has deteriorated just slightly with age, making this an ideal liner for either an M35 or M40 helmet in equally used condition. Split pins and washers are not included.
