This is an original WWII German matching leather chinstrap set. The strap remains its original 13-hole length, but unfortunately the very end of the strap bearing the manufacturer's stamp has torn away. It exhibits the non-painted steel buckle variation, pre-dating 1940 production when buckles were coated with a layer of either grey or green paint. The retaining studs are also constructed of non-painted steel. The leather has dried over time, however it is still quite pliable. This would be an ideal chinstrap for an M35 helmet.
