This original WWII U.S. McCord manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell is in great, field-used condition. The heat stamp of 289B dates the helmet's production to September 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. The chinstrap features a brass buckle in the "raised bar" variety. The helmet's fixed loops are strong and intact. The veteran's laundry number, B-8305, is stamped on both the interior and exterior. This helmet would pair very nicely with a high pressure helmet liner with non-painted steel A-washers.
