This is an original early-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The helmet's front appears to have had a set of initials scratched off some time ago. The considerably early heat stamp of 63C dates the helmet's production to February 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. The helmet's early style fixed loops are strong and intact. This helmet would pair quite nicely with a first pattern Hawley or St. Clair liner.
