WWII Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (December 1942)
This is an original WWII U.S. McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 371A dates the helmet's production to December 1942. It retains its original olive drab factory paint finish, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. The brass-buckled chinstrap is quite frayed at the loops, the helmet's front brim is dented, and the exterior exhibits faint handwriting. The aforementioned flaws have resulted in a 50% price reduction. This would be an ideal match for a liner with non-painted steel A-washers.
