WWII Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Westinghouse Liner Set
This original early-WWII M1 helmet set is in excellent condition. If in need of an American helmet, representative of any branch of service at nearly any point in the war, this is the ideal choice. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell has a heat stamp of 438A, dating its production to February 1943. The helmet retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. It has recently been paired with a Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner. It features non-painted steel A-washers, a khaki suspension, and folded ends on the neck support, which dates the liner's production to late-1942. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with an original double-wire headband, neckband, and flat-lipped leather liner strap. The liner's original factory finish is wearing thin and the wearer's right side exhibits a period repair.
