WWII Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Westinghouse Liner (1942 Set)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop M1 helmet shell's heat stamp of 270C dates the helmet's production to September 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. The chinstraps are named to an "H. Cook." The original early-WWII Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner has non-painted steel A-washers and folded ends on the neck support, dating the liner's production to late-1942. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original Gem Dandy, Inc. neckband and a recently installed Jos. N. Eisendrath Co. manufactured headband. Like the helmet itself, all of the accessories date to 1942.
