Mid-WWII U.S. Swivel Loop McCord M1 Helmet & Westinghouse Liner Set (May 1944)
This original U.S. WWII M1 helmet set is in good, field-used condition. Stenciled in black paint on the wearer's right side of the McCord manufactured helmet shell is "W25". Unfortunately, its significance is unknown. The front seam swivel loop helmet's heat stamp of 909F dates its production to May 1944. It retains its original olive drab factory paint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. The straps exhibit a flat brass buckle. The Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner's original olive drab factory finish is in good condition. It, too, is stenciled, but with "W4". The liner features green painted steel A-washers, dating its production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original headband and neckband.
