Mid-WWII U.S. M1 Helmet Web Chinstraps OD#3 (Khaki)
This is an original matching set of web chinstraps for the WWII U.S. M1 helmet. They are constructed of OD#3 (khaki) webbing and brass hardware. They were recovered from a Navy-used McCord manufactured swivel loop helmet, but would have also been seen on earlier fixed loop examples. The webbing exhibits some battleship grey-blue paint residue. The straps haven't been cut; only their stitching has been undone, meaning these are still their original length.
