Mid-WWII U.S. Fixed Loop Schlueter M1 Helmet & Inland/Firestone Liner Set
This is an original mid-WWII U.S. fixed loop M1 helmet set. The Schlueter manufactured fixed loop helmet shell's heat stamp is concealed beneath the original field repaint, however Schlueter produced this variety of helmet from only January 1943 to November 1943. Also beneath the interior's flaking paint are remnants of the original owner's laundry number. In addition to its field repaint, it also showcases field-applied OD#7 (green) chinstraps, with steel hardware. The Inland/Firestone manufactured liner's original olive drab factory paint finish is in good condition. It features blackened brass A-washers and a khaki suspension, which date the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original headband, neckband, and damaged black-buckled leather liner strap.
