This is an original mid-WWII Inland manufactured M1 helmet liner. The exterior retains its original olive drab factory paint finish. The front of the liner showcases Master Sergeant's stripes in addition to the name Craig. It features green-painted steel A-washers, dating the liner's production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. Additionally, the presence of green-painted steel A-washers makes this liner exceptionally rare due to the vast majority of Inland liners exhibiting non-painted steel A-washers. The Johnson and Johnson manufactured khaki suspension is strong and intact. This helmet liner would display quite nicely with the addition of mid-war accessories.
