Late-WWII U.S. Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner W/ Headband & Neckband (1944-45)
This is an original U.S. WWII Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner. Presumably, the original owner's name, "Shell", is marked atop the olive drab factory finish. It features blackened brass A-washers, which date its production from mid-1944 to 1945. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It has recently been outfitted with an original, and rather rare, Norman W. Cook, Inc. headband and Gem-Dandy, Inc. neckband. This liner would be an ideal match for a swivel loop helmet shell.
