Late-WWII U.S. First Lieutenant's Capac Infantry M1 Helmet Liner
This is an original late-WWII U.S. Capac manufactured infantry M1 helmet liner. Atop its original factory finish, at the front, are remnants of an original first lieutenant's rank, constructed of medical tape. The liner features blackened brass A-washers, dating its production from mid-1944 to 1945. The original khaki suspension is strong and intact; it comes complete with an original Scholl Manufacturing Co. neckband and headband.
