Late-WWII Swivel Loop Schlueter M1 Helmet Shell (1945)

Late-WWII Swivel Loop Schlueter M1 Helmet Shell (1945)

This original WWII U.S. Schlueter manufactured swivel loop M1 helmet shell is ID'd to Loren W. Heldenbrand, serial number 37823811. View the Veteran's Information Section for more details regarding Heldenbrand's life and military service. The helmet is in very good condition. The heat stamp of 507A dates the helmet's production to 1945. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstrap. Interestingly, this is one of two helmets we are offering from the 507A lot and the other example exhibits the later style T1 J-hook chinstrap hardware. This helmet would pair very nicely with a high pressure helmet liner with blackened brass A-washers.
