This original WWII U.S. Schlueter manufactured swivel loop M1 helmet shell is in excellent condition. Stenciled on the front of the helmet in red paint is a "20", likely denoting use by either the U.S.N. or the U.S.M.C. The heat stamp of 427A dates the helmet's production to late-1944. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstrap. This helmet would pair very nicely with a high pressure helmet liner with blackened brass A-washers.
