This original U.S. WWII M1 helmet set is in very good condition. The Schlueter manufactured rear seam swivel loop helmet shell's heat stamp of 557A dates its production to 1945. It retains its original olive drab factory paint, cork texture, and OD#7 chinstraps. The straps exhibit steel hardware. It has recently been paired with an original Inland/Firestone manufactured helmet liner. The liner's blackened brass A-washers date its production from mid-1944 to 1945. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with an original headband and neckband - both of which were produced by Scholl Manufacturing Co.
