This is an original U.S. WWII M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured rear seam swivel loop helmet shell's heat stamp of 941N and transitional stainless steel rim date its production to July 1944. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstraps. The straps exhibit brass hardware. The Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner features blackened brass A-washers, dating its production from mid-1944 to 1945. The liner comes complete with its original headband, 1945 dated Lapeer Fabricators, Inc. manufactured neckband, and United Carr stamped leather liner strap. The leather liner strap's blackened brass buckle dates its production from mid to late-1944. The liner's exterior showcases a blue repaint, tape, as well as 'Col.' hand-painted at the rear.
