Early-WWII Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner (1942)
This is an original early-WWII Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner. The liner's exterior showcases its original olive drab factory finish. The non-painted steel A-washers and folded ends on the neck support date the liner's production to late-1942. The khaki suspension is beginning to fray near the center washer at the neck, however it remains intact. The liner has recently been completed with an original headband and neckband, both of which were manufactured by the Paul K. Weil Co. This liner would pair quite nicely with a fixed loop M1 helmet shell.
