Early-WWII U.S. Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner With Rayon Suspension & Neckband
This is an original early-WWII U.S. Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner. It features non-painted steel rectangular washers, a first pattern rayon suspension, and remnants of a stationary leather liner strap. These features date the liner's production to mid-1942. The rayon suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with an original rayon neckband, but is missing a headband; making it ideal for the collector with a well-used spare. This helmet liner would nicely complete a mid-1942 fixed loop helmet shell.
