Early-WWII U.S. Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner (1942-43)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner. The liner's exterior factory finish is in well-worn condition. The non-painted steel A-washers date the liner's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It is marked with the original owner's laundry number, "M-6844". The liner comes complete with its original neckband and a recently installed headband. This liner would pair quite nicely with a fixed loop M1 helmet shell.
