Early-WWII U.S. Schlueter Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Hawley Liner Set (1942-43)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. M1 helmet set. The Schlueter manufactured fixed loop shell's heat stamp of 97A dates its production to 1943. It features its original factory paint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. The chinstraps exhibit early brass hardware. It comes complete with its original third-pattern Hawley manufactured helmet liner. The liner's brim is penciled with the original owner's surname, "Hafliger". Its non-painted steel A-washers, khaki suspension, and studs for a removable leather liner strap, date the liner's production to late-1942. It comes complete with an original headband, neckband, and flat-buckled leather liner strap.
