Early-WWII U.S. M1 Helmet Liner Rayon Hawley Neckband
This is an original early-WWII rayon neckband. These were manufactured in three different sizes during the war: 3, 4, and 5. This example's markings have since faded, however we've shown it alongside a confirmed size medium (not included), which would be equivalent to a size 4 and it is quite comparable. It features nickel-plated brass United Carr snaps, which have developed verdigris. This would be an ideal neckband for all helmet liners with rayon suspensions - including Hawleys.
