Early-WWII U.S. M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)
This is an original and faintly stamped Paul K. Weil Co. WWII headband. It features the 'double wire' buckle variation, which dates the headband's production from early-1942 to mid-1942. The leather is slightly dry, but is still intact and pliable. This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
