This is an original early-WWII U.S. M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured fixed loop shell's heat stamp of 387A dates its production to January 1943. It features its original factory paint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. The chinstraps exhibit early brass hardware. It has recently been completed with a third-pattern Hawley manufactured helmet liner. Its non-painted steel A-washers, khaki suspension, and studs for a removable leather liner strap, date the liner's production to late-1942. It comes complete with an original headband and neckband. The liner is cracked throughout, but is still in good and displayable condition.
