Early-WWII St. Clair Low Pressure M1 Helmet Liner (Transitional Suspension)

Early-WWII St. Clair Low Pressure M1 Helmet Liner (Transitional Suspension)

This is an original early-WWII St. Clair manufactured low pressure M1 helmet liner. It features non-painted steel A-washers and a transitional khaki suspension. These early features date the liner's production from late-1942 to early-1943. The transitional khaki suspension is faintly ID'd with a soldier's name and laundry number. The liner has recently been outfitted with an original Johnson & Johnson manufactured size 7 1/8 rayon headband and a size 3 rayon neckband. The liner's exterior retains its original factory textured olive drab paint finish.
