This original low pressure St. Clair manufactured helmet liner exhibits a rare paint variation. The liner's exterior features light green textured paint with smooth dark olive drab rivet heads, a combination only seen on liners produced during a very short time in late 1942. The liner retains its original non-painted steel A-washers and khaki suspension. One of the suspension's triangular supports is torn and has recently been secured with a vintage safety pin. The liner has also recently been outfitted with an original George Frost Co. manufactured neckband and an Enger-Kress manufactured headband. There are multiple small cracks in the liner's brim.
