This is an original matching set of U.S. WWII M1917A1 helmet chinstraps, however these would have also been seen on very early production fixed loop and prototypical helmets. They exhibit the distinct box-stitching and cast brass buckle. There is rust discoloration throughout and the webbing is weak in some areas. The straps haven't been cut, only their stitching has been undone, meaning these are still their original length.
