Early-WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)

Early-WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)

This original early-WWII headband's manufacturer markings have faded over time. It features the 'double-wire' buckle variation, dating the headband's production from early-1942 to mid-1942. The original owner's name, "V. Wiggins", is stamped on the fabric in a U.S.N./U.S.M.C. style. The leather has darkened with use, but remains soft and pliable. This headband would be ideal for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
