This is an original early-WWII Hood Rubber Co. manufactured low pressure M1 helmet liner. It is a seldom-seen variant with green painted steel A-washers. Only 6,000 of its kind were contracted on February 2, 1943, making this helmet liner exceptionally rare. The interior crown features the iconic disk pattern and silver painted HR. The khaki suspension remains strong and intact. It comes complete with its original, but well-worn headband and neckband. The exterior's olive drab factory paint finish has worn thin, revealing the liner's intricate design pattern. The front of the liner exhibits military police markings, while the whole of the liner showcases remnants of a possible white-wash snow camouflage. There are a couple cracks throughout the body of the helmet liner, but it remains structurally intact.
