Early-WWII Hood Rubber Low Pressure M1 Helmet Liner (Complete)

Early-WWII Hood Rubber Low Pressure M1 Helmet Liner (Complete)

This is an original WWII Hood Rubber Co. manufactured low pressure M1 helmet liner. There are no cracks, however the exterior's original factory paint finish is wearing thin, exposing the liner's intricate design. The A-washers are non-painted steel, dating the liner's production from late-1942 to early-1943. The interior crown features the iconic disk pattern and silver painted HR. The liner's khaki suspension remains strong and intact. It has recently been outfitted with an original rare variant headband, Paul K. Weil Co. manufactured neckband, and a green-buckled leather liner strap. Like the liner itself, all of the accessories date from 1942 to 1943.
