This is an original early-WWII Hawley manufactured M1 helmet liner. It retains non-painted steel rectangular washers, a first pattern rayon suspension, and remnants of a stationary leather liner strap, dating the liner's production from mid-1941 to mid-1942. The rayon suspension is well-worn, but still intact. The body of the liner is in good condition, however the rim is cracked and torn throughout. This liner would pair quite nicely with an early-war fixed loop helmet. Original rayon accessories are available here.
