Early-WWII German Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) Heer Double "Decal" Pith Helmet
This original early-WWII German Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) pith helmet is in very good, combat-used condition. It is only slightly misshapen with age and it still retains its original leather chinstrap and brim material - two often-missing components. It is constructed of a fabric-covered cork material, making it a first pattern helmet. The underside of the size 57 leather headband is maker marked and dated A.U.C., 1941. There are no import markings. The helmet retains its original National Colors shield, however the Heer shield is an original replacement.
