This is an original pair of WWI German 6x dienstglas private purchase binoculars. These were produced by C. P. Goerz in Berlin, Germany. Their serial number of 278118, brass construction, and lack of a factory code all indicate Imperial era production. These binoculars are in good, used condition, with slightly foggy optics. They come with their original carrying strap and leather case. The case's strap was likely replaced by the veteran who brought these home, as evident by the English marking.
