This is an original early-WWII M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell has a heat stamp of 195B, dating its production to June 1942. The helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. The Inland manufactured liner's original flat olive drab factory paint finish is in great condition. It features non-painted steel A-washers and a khaki suspension, which date the liner's production from mid-1942 to mid-1943. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with an original J.P. Smith Shoe Co. headband and khaki neckband.
