Early-WWII Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Inland/Firestone Liner Set

Early-WWII Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Inland/Firestone Liner Set

This is an original early-WWII M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell has a heat stamp of 236A, dating its production to August 1942. The helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. The Inland/Firestone manufactured liner's original olive drab factory paint finish is in good condition. It features green-painted steel A-washers and a khaki suspension, which date the liner's production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original headband, damaged green-buckled leather liner strap, and a recently installed neckband. The original owner's name appears to be faintly written on the liner's headband.
