Early-WWII Firestone M1 Helmet Liner (1942-43)
This is an original early-WWII Firestone manufactured M1 helmet liner. The liner's exterior has been stripped of any remnants of its factory finish. The non-painted steel A-washers date the liner's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. The liner has recently been completed with an original Bates Shoe Co. headband and a Johnson & Johnson neckband. This liner would pair quite nicely with a fixed loop M1 helmet shell.
