Early-WWII Captain's Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Inland Liner (1942 Set)
This is an original matching early-WWII Captain's M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell has a heat stamp of 126, dating its production to April 1942. In addition to the hand-painted Captain's rank, the helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, brass-buckled khaki chinstraps, and British style net. Painted over the Inland manufactured liner's original olive drab factory paint finish is a matching Captain's rank, showcasing their long history together as a set. The liner's non-painted steel A-washers and khaki suspension date the liner's production from mid-1942 to mid-1943. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original headband, neckband, and green buckled leather liner strap.
