Early-WWII British Royal Air Force RAF Type-C Leather Flying Helmet (Size 3)
This is an original early-WWII British Royal Air Force (RAF) Type-C leather flying helmet, first introduced in the summer of 1941. This particular example is embossed with the A. Crown M., and bears the RAF store reference number 22c/451, which indicates it is a size 3 (second largest). The leather is in very good condition for its age, and its hardware appears to be completely intact.
